Downpipes

Today the plumber started work on the downpipes. The first to be installed was at the deck post on the northern side of the house.

A bit further along (to the west).

The last to be installed today at the ensuite.

Front yard landscaping

Over the weekend we landscaped the front yard as best we could. We filled in the trenches for the storm water pipes and moved around the soil in the front (soon to be) lawn area

and front garden bed.

Pruned (savagely) the azalea bush.

The next day we sowed lawn seed (note sexy shadow legs)

and put mulch in the front garden bed.

Loft window and storm water

The glass for the loft window was installed into the frame today.

The plumber cut open the footpath to install the steel pipe which will carry storm water to the street.

Then the plumber sealed it up.

Scaffolding comes down

Last Thursday the scaffolding came down. This view along the southern boundary.

A setback

The manufacturer of the ensuite gable window produced the window incorrectly (mirror reflection). It as was removed today.

Hopefully there will be a quick turn around time to produce the correct one.
